Draymond Green watched from the Breslin Center floor as his No. 23 went up to the rafters, the highest honor a college basketball program can bestow.
During the early December game against Duke, Michigan State basketball christened the former Saginaw star and college All-American who has gone on to become an NBA champion and All-Star.
But it almost didn't happen.
