Michigan's struggles at the plate continued on Friday in the softball team's NCAA Tournament opener against Notre Dame.
The Wolverines, a No. 2 seed in the Lexington Regional hosted by Kentucky, managed just three hits in a 4-1 loss to the third-seeded Irish.
Notre Dame (33-21), after a 2 hour and 8 minute rain delay, scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning for a 4-0 lead.
