The NCAA softball tournament announced its field of 64 Sunday night, sending Michigan to the Seattle Regional.
The No. 2 seeded Wolverines will face the No. 3 seeded Fresno State Bulldogs on Friday night at 9 p.m. EDT (ESPN2) at Husky Softball Stadium in Seattle, Wash.
Montana and No. 6 overall Washington are the other two teams in the regional, and will play the second game Friday night.
It is the Wolverines' 23rd straight NCAA appearance.
The regional round is a four-team, double-elimination tournament, with the winner advancing to the Super Regional.
