Michigan softball looking to regain confidence heading into NCAA Tournament

ANN ARBOR -- The Michigan softball team's practice on Tuesday had a different feel to it.

Despite being outscored 17-1 in their last two games, including a 7-0 loss to Michigan State in a Big Ten quarterfinal on Friday, the Wolverines were loud and lively at practice at Alumni Field as they prepare to face Notre Dame in the NCAA Tournament at noon Friday.

Michigan (43-11), playing in its 24th straight NCAA Tournament, is a No. 2 seed in the Lexington Regional, hosted by No. 16 overall seed Kentucky, which opens against Illinois-Chicago.
