Michigan's hockey team is headed to the Frozen Four for the 25th time in program history.
The Wolverines scored three straight goals in the third period to beat Boston University 6-3 on Sunday in the Northeast Regional final in Worcester, Massachusetts.
They advance to face Notre Dame, the No. 1 seed in the East Regional, in the Frozen Four on April 5 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Michigan's 25 Frozen Four appearances ties Boston College for the most all time. The Wolverines (22-14-3), who defeated Northeastern 3-2 on Saturday, last made the Frozen Four in 2010, when it lost to Minnesota Duluth 3-2 in overtime in the national championship.
