In the coaches' poll, however, Michigan is tied with Georgia as both received 1,295 points.
The top six teams are No. 1 Alabama, followed by Clemson, Notre Dame, LSU, and then Michigan and Georgia.

Michigan State, which defeated Purdue 23-13, earned 51 points in the AP poll and 48 in the coaches' but is still outside the top 25.
