ANN ARBOR - Ty Isaac said all the right things during fall camp.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound senior talked about being more consistent, knowing 2017 is his last shot to prove he can be a reliable any-down running back for Michigan.
He understood he needed to play more physical and improve his pass protection. But there is only so much that can be said without live game action to back it up.
Isaac's performance against Florida in the Wolverines' 33-17 win on Saturday was an encouraging start. He rushed for 114 yards on 11 carries - twice picking up a first down on third-and-13.
