Kareem Walker always knew what star recruits do in college, especially the elite ones.
They enroll early, they step into the starting job and they dominate.
At one point during his senior year at DePaul Catholic in Wayne, N.J., he was that elite. Ranked as the nation’s No. 1 tailback when he committed to Michigan on Dec. 17, 2015, he planned on starring.
Even in February 2016, a month after he arrived on campus, Walker said, “Oh, I’m playing. I’m working hard. I’m doing good adjusting to the workouts. Just got to learn the playbook. But I’m not riding the bench.
