ANN ARBOR -- We know who will be the focus at running back for the Michigan football team in 2018.
But beyond the 1-2 punch of Karan Higdon and Chris Evans? It appears to be a crapshoot.
Kareem Walker and O'Maury Samuels both saw a handful of touches in 2017, setting in motion a competition this spring and fall over who will be next in line at running back.
And Walker, a former five-star recruit, is most interesting here. The 6-foot-1, 211-pound will enter his redshirt sophomore season having appeared in just five games.
"He's coming along," Michigan running backs coach Jay Harbaugh said of Walker last week.
