CHICAGO -- Maybe it was too early. Maybe he hadn't totally formed them yet.
Either way, Karan Higdon held his goals for his senior season close to the vest in spring. He didn't want to talk about them then, and respectfully shot down anyone asking.
Things changed this week at Big Ten media days, where the Michigan running back told reporters he wants a national championship and 1,000 yards rushing. The former might be difficult in a crowded Big Ten East, but the latter is absolutely obtainable.
Higdon rushed for 994 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2017, enough to be Michigan's most productive back all season.
