ANN ARBOR -- On Monday, Chris Evans and Karan Higdon did something new. They watched film together, which is common, but Evans was asked to critique a few dozen clips of Higdon. Higdon did the same for Evans. What were the weaknesses? How could they improve?
The competition to be Michigan's starting running back has not prevented the leading candidates from helping each other out.
Evans ran 135 times last season for 685 yards and six touchdowns. Higdon led Michigan with 164 carries, 994 yards, and 11 touchdowns. The coaches might feel they have two first-string running backs, but Evans doesn't see it that way.
