Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson apparently was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 39th round of of the MLB draft on Wednesday.
Patterson, who transferred to Ole Miss and is expected to compete for the Wolverines' starting quarterback spot, has not played organized baseball since high school.
Patterson was drafted as a third baseman as the 1,169th overall pick.
