ORLANDO, Fla. — For close to a decade, Shea Patterson has been a football nomad.
He played for three different teams in high school, in Texas, Louisiana and Florida. He verbally committed to Arizona, before re-opening his recruitment and signing with Ole Miss.
Things haven't been easy in college, either. In the past four years, Patterson has played for two teams, three head coaches and four offensive coordinators. After his sophomore year, during which he suffered a season-ending injury, he transferred from Ole Miss to Michigan after the program was hit with NCAA sanctions. For months, he sweated out a drawn-out petition for immediate eligibility.
