BEAVERTON, Ore. – Dylan McCaffrey’s decision to commit to Michigan caught him by surprise.
Sitting in California on Jan. 1, preparing to watch his brother Christian dominate the Rose Bowl for Stanford, Dylan’s mind was 2,500 miles east, in Orlando.
Michigan was crushing Florida in the Citrus Bowl, 41-7, and Dylan couldn’t get enough.
“I found myself cheering them on every single play and sat down, looked up and, ‘Huh, this is weird, I don’t cheer for any other team like this,’ ” McCaffrey recalled Thursday after his second day at the Elite 11 Finals at the Nike headquarters.
