ANN ARBOR -- Jim Harbaugh said over the summer Brandon Peters had some work to do taking charge.
The redshirt freshman quarterback was quiet and soft-spoken by nature, not exactly the traits preferred to help run the Michigan offense.
That has apparently changed.
"I've definitely gotten better," Peters said after Michigan's 35-14 win over Rutgers. "That's something I've totally focused on. It's been my weakness since I got to Michigan."
Peters began the season third on Michigan's unofficial depth chart at quarterback, and by all accounts, his faint personality played a factor. He was surrounded by more assertive, experienced personalities in Wilton Speight, a junior, and John O'Korn, making it difficult for a talented prospect like him to stand out.
