The Wolverines’ slow-paced December schedule of weekend only game continued on Saturday, and the rust of time off showed. At least initially. Finding almost only three-point opportunities early against Air Force, Michigan made just one of its first nine shots. As has been the case all season though, U-M was able to rely on its defense.
Trailing 10-5 after the first seven minutes of play, the Wolverines put on a 19-3 run, getting the first six points of that stretch off turnovers.
Air Force was able to linger within striking distance for a portion of the second half, but the Wolverines ultimately pulled away, claiming a 71-50 victory.
