Michigan has promoted offensive analyst Kirk Campbell to quarterbacks coach, replacing Matt Weiss, who was fired last week.
Campbell spent the 2022 season with Michigan after two years as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Old Dominion. He also spent 2017 to 2019 as an offensive analyst at Penn State, working primarily with the quarterbacks and on opponent scouting.
Campbell served as Penn State's interim quarterbacks coach for the team's 53-39 win over Memphis in the 2019 Cotton Bowl.
On Jan. 20, Michigan fired Weiss, who university police are investigating following a report of "computer access crimes" that allegedly occurred at the school's football offices.
