Michigan’s hockey team defeated Northeastern 3-2 on Saturday in the NCAA Northeast Regional at Worcester, Mass., putting the Wolverines one win from a trip to the Frozen Four.
Tony Calderone forced a steal and carried the puck three-quarters of the length of the ice, and delivered a nifty backhand pass to Cooper Marody, who buried the winning goal at 15:30 of the third period. It was Marody’s 16th goal of the season.
