ANN ARBOR -- As Michigan was successfully turning defense into offense to pull away from Iowa in the first half Wednesday, a "Name That Tune" video appeared on the big screen. The familiar drums and synths of a classic hip hop track played, but the Wolverines struggled to identify the song, released before they were born. It was Salt-n-Pepa's "Push It," which is what Michigan was doing on the court to build its lead.
If there's a theme in Michigan's losses this season, it is bad defense. Michigan's seven defeats have been among the team's eight worst defensive performances, as far as points per possession allowed.
