The TV ratings were just announced for this year’s Michigan-Ohio State game, and it’s officially the most-watched college football game of the 2023 season.
According to Sports Media Watch, a whopping 19.07 million people tuned in to FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff for The Game last Saturday. That’s the highest viewership this year, and the second-highest viewed game between the Wolverines and Buckeyes in the history of the rivalry. The only more-watched edition of The Game was back in 2006, which drew more than 21 million viewers.
With so much on the line for both teams — and the fact Jim Harbaugh was suspended for this game — it’s no wonder so many people decided to watch this game.
