Michigan officially announced Greg Frey as the newest assistant coach, confirming that he will work with the offensive tackles and tight ends.
Frey, who previously coached at Michigan under Rich Rodriguez from 2008-10, fills the staff vacancy that Tyrone Wheatley left when he joined the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this month.
U-M also confirmed that assistant Jay Harbaugh will shift to work with the running backs.
"We are excited to welcome Greg back to the Michigan football program and University community," U-M coach Jim Harbaugh said in a released statement. "Coach Frey has a proven track record of success; his character, work ethic and dedication are at the highest level.
