ANN ARBOR -- A few notes ahead of Michigan's home opener Saturday against Cincinnati (Noon, ABC):
4 RUNNING BACKS? Michigan running backs coach Jay Harbaugh was asked Wednesday about Kareem Walker and the possibility of using a four-back rotation this season. He didn't rule it out, nor did he explicitly say Walker would see the playing field on Saturday, but the 6-foot-1, 211-pound sophomore remains healthy and ready to go. And has folks paying attention. "Kareem Walker has really surfaced this year," Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said last week.
INJURY UPDATES: Brandon Watson and David Long both exited Michigan's win over Florida with undisclosed injuries, and their status for Saturday's game against Cincinnati remains up in the air.
