The Michigan women's golf team felt right at home when the team teed it up in the first round of its regional tournament on Monday.
The Wolverines, led by Big Ten Coach of the Year Jan Dowling, and won their first Big Ten championship in program history in late April, are the hosts of one of the six NCAA regionals for the first time since 2007 and came storming out of the games.
Michigan posted an even score through nine holes as a team before finishing the day at nine-over par (293), good enough to put them in a tie for second with Washington, just two strokes behind leader Arkansas (291).
