Michigan men's basketball coach Juwan Howard has been reinstated from suspension, a program spokesperson confirmed Monday.
The Wolverines (17-13, 11-9 Big Ten) are not practicing Monday. Howard is meeting with players individually, the spokesperson said.
Howard was suspended five games followlng a postgame altercation Feb. 20 at Wisconsin. Associate head coach Phil Martelli filled in for Howard, leading the Wolverines to a 3-2 record, including a 75-69 victory Sunday at then-No. 23 Ohio State.
Michigan, a No. 8 seed, will play No. 9 seed Indiana at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in a Big Ten quarterfinal in Indianapolis.
