STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — That was a debacle for Michigan basketball.
The Wolverines entered Tuesday atop the Big Ten standings. Penn State sat in last.
No. 6 Michigan was the clear favorite, but nothing went as expected at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The Nittany Lions took it to Michigan (22-3, 11-3 Big Ten), handing the Wolverines a 75-69 loss.
Michigan's defense struggled uncharacteristically early on, giving up 40 points in a half for the first time all season. Meanwhile, head coach John Beilein was ejected from the game at the end of the first half.
