WASHINGTON – Five weeks ago, Michigan’s NCAA tournament chances were dim.
The Wolverines had lost to lowly Ohio State on Feb. 4, falling to 14-9 overall and 4-6 in the Big Ten.
On Sunday night, they’ll not only be in the NCAA tournament field – either as the conference’s automatic bid representative or as an at-large – but their seeding will have skyrocketed.
They basically built their whole resume since that second week in February with five of U-M’s six top-50 wins, all three of its road wins and three of its five neutral site wins in that stretch.
