Michigan linebacker Wyatt Shallman leaving for fifth year

Michigan linebacker Wyatt Shallman is leaving for his fifth year.

He tweeted today that he'll seek a grad transfer to play his final year at another school.

Shallman was a four-star recruit and the nation's No. 1 fullback in the 2013 class out of Novi Detroit Catholic Central, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. But after redshirting as a freshman he never found a spot for U-M. He played in nine games in 2014, only one game in 2015 before posting that he was having a surgery and then played on special teams in five games this season after he moved to linebacker.
