ANN ARBOR - The winningest coach in NCAA softball history will remain in Michigan's dugout through at least the 2022 season.
Carol Hutchins, entering her 34th season as the Wolverines' softball coach, signed a five-year contract extension, the school announced Wednesday.
"I remain honored and humbled to be the head coach at Michigan," Hutchins said in a Michigan news release. "I am very appreciative to (athletic director) Warde Manuel and (associate athletic director) Bitsy Ritt for their hard work, leadership and continued faith in me and my staff. I have truly had a blessed career and consider myself the luckiest coach in America.
