Michigan LB Josh Uche wants more playing time ... and he's going to get it

ANN ARBOR -- There was a conversation had in January, after Michigan let a second-half lead slip away to South Carolina in the Outback Bowl.

Josh Uche wanted to play. The second-year linebacker from Florida appeared in 10 games in 2017, but his time was spent primarily on special teams in a reserve linebacker role.

Uche wanted more meaningful reps - and he told defensive coordinator Don Brown so.

"He wanted to fight me, I think," Brown joked with reporters on Wednesday, six days into the start of fall camp. "But he wants to play. It's easy to say, 'Coach, I want to play.
