Michigan lands in the top-10 of ESPN’s final preseason SP+ rankings

With just a few weeks until the college football season begins, preseason awards and rankings continue to be announced daily. Yesterday, the preseason AP Poll was released and we saw Michigan check in at No. 9 in the country. Meanwhile, the Wolverines were also ranked No. 8 in the coaches poll.

Today, another preseason ranking was released, as ESPN’s Bill Connelly released his final preseason SP+ rankings. Unsurprisingly, the Wolverines were ranked pretty highly here as well, checking in as the No. 7 team nationally.

For those of you who might be unfamiliar to SP+, Connelly describes it as, “a tempo- and opponent-adjusted measure of college football efficiency.
