The Michigan football team received a verbal commitment Monday from Tristan Bounds, an offensive tackle from Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut.
Bounds, at 6-foot-7.5, 285 pounds, is considered a three-star prospect by the 247Sports composite. He is ranked the No. 56 offensive tackle in the country, according to the composite, and No. 3 overall in Connecticut.
The Wolverines finished ahead of seven other finalists: Boston College, Maryland, Notre Dame, Texas, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.
Bounds is the 17th verbal commit in Michigan's 2021 recruiting class, and fourth offensive lineman, joining Giovanni El-Hadi, Raheem Anderson, and Greg Crippen.
