Michigan Wolverines kicker James Turner didn’t have to travel far to find his NFL home. After going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Saline native is staying home and has signed with the Detroit Lions.

Turner transferred to Michigan after four years at Louisville. A Saline, Michigan native, he enrolled at Louisville in 2019 and appeared in 42 games for the Cardinals. In his four years there, he was 47-for-59 on field goals and 124-for-127 on extra points.
