The Michigan hockey team’s season ended in humiliating fashion on Thursday night at Joe Louis Arena.
But a bigger question loomed over the post-game press conference. What would Michigan coach Red Berenson say about his future following a 4-1 loss to Penn State in the Big Ten hockey tournament?
“I’m disappointed that it was an issue and I don’t know where it started,” Berenson said of rumors that a decision had already been reached. “I can tell you what it is. It’s similar to last year, where I’m going to have a meeting with (U-M athletic director) Warde Manuel.
