Michigan Hockey’s rollercoaster season came to an end late Thursday night when Jake Evans and Notre Dame defeated the the Wolverines 4-3. The Maize and Blue looked very promising in the first 22 minutes of the game, up 2-0 with all the momentum in the world.
Something snapped for the Irish after they scored their first goal on a power play early in the second period. They started defending better, only allowing Michigan seven total shots in the period.
The third period began as a 2-2 tie until Cal Burke gave the Irish the quick lead.
