ANN ARBOR - Michigan's Mel Pearson isn't afraid to bounce ideas off other prominent coaching figures.
It didn't take long for the Wolverines' first-year head hockey coach, who was hired in April to replace legendary Red Berenson, to begin picking the brains of other Michigan coaches.
Speaking at Michigan hockey media day inside Yost Ice Arena on Tuesday, Pearson said he has had brief interactions with enigmatic football coach Jim Harbaugh since his hire, and he is looking forward to more in-depth conversations.
"Me and coach Harbaugh and coach Don Brown (defensive coordinator) one day got talking," Pearson said.
