ANN ARBOR -- Grant Perry's status with the Michigan football program is still up in the air.
Earlier Wednesday, Perry -- a sophomore receiver -- took a plea deal in Ingram County Circuit Court that saw him plead guilty to one felony account of resisting arrest and one misdemeanor count of assault and battery in exchange for the dismissal of two misdemeanor sexual conduct charges.
Perry is expected to be sentenced under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act in August.
Upon hearing the news, Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel released the following statement.
"We became aware and received an update on Grant Perry from today's news reports," Manuel wrote.
