After just one season in Ann Arbor — and one day following the transfer addition of former North Carolina point guard Elliot Cadeau — Michigan Wolverines point guard Tre Donaldson has entered the transfer portal. This news was first reported by On3 on Tuesday afternoon.
Donaldson started every game for the Wolverines this past season, averaging 11.3 points, 4.1 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. He shot 43.3 percent from the field and 37.5 percent on his three-point shots.
Before his lone season at Michigan, Donaldson was at Auburn for two years. His small role at Auburn turned into a huge starting role with the Wolverines, but there’s a pretty big chance his decision to enter the portal again had to do with Cadeau — who was a primary ball-handler at North Carolina — transferring in for next season.
