Michigan fullback Ben Mason could play both ways in 2018

Ben Mason arrived at the University of Michigan as a linebacker before his hard-hitting ways flipped him to the offensive side of the ball.

Now, it sounds like he's going to get another shot on defense.

The 6-foot-3, 251-pound rising sophomore will have an opportunity to play both ways when spring practice kicks off next week, and perhaps for the foreseeable future, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh revealed this week.

"This year, we're going to play him at fullback, and also start playing him at linebacker," Harbaugh said on his "Attack Each Day" podcast.
