ANN ARBOR -- Michigan's hockey team is one day away from its 25th Frozen Four appearance.
With the Wolverines set to face Notre Dame at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, MLive is counting down the four days by highlighting an iconic moment in the history of the program each day.
The countdown began Monday with Mike Legg's lacrosse-style goal in a NCAA Tournament regional final against Minnesota in 1996 and continued Tuesday with Michigan's 4-3 victory over North Dakota in the 1998 West Regional final at Yost Ice Arena.
