Nine months ago, there were questions about the direction of Michigan football.
That sure feels like a long time ago these days.
On the heels of the program's first Big Ten title in 17 years, Jim Harbaugh’s future in Ann Arbor was equally uncertain. He interviewed with the Minnesota Vikings for their head coaching vacancy and both of his coordinators — Josh Gattis on offense and Mike Macdonald on defense — headed elsewhere.
But Harbaugh didn’t leave for Minnesota, and if the Wolverines' 7-0 start and No. 3 ranking is a sign of what’s to come, it was the ideal outcome for his program.
