Jim Harbaugh's had assistant coaches who have walked in line with his "meritocracy" mantra throughout his three-year tenure at Michigan.
New offensive line coach Ed Warinner is one of those coaches.
Though he might be more open to discussing detail than some others in the past.
Warinner met with reporters for the first time since spring practice Wednesday and was very clear about a few things: He believes progress is happening, the starting five is in no way set in stone and young tackles Jalen Mayfield and James Hudson are absolutely coming along.
