Shea Patterson's first game as Michigan football's quarterback ended with a loss. And the response from the fan base, and the media, may have been his formal welcome to the program.

Plenty of criticism surrounded the Wolverines' offense, and coach Jim Harbaugh, after the team's 24-17 loss at Notre Dame in Week 1. The team rebounded with an efficient 49-3 win over Western Michigan in Week 2, though critics weren't completely silenced.
