WR Andrel Anthony: For several weeks, coach Jim Harbaugh had mentioned Anthony as one of the ascending young players on offense alongside quarterback J.J. McCarthy, running back Donovan Edwards and fellow wideout Cristian Dixon. The quartet of underclassmen scored admiration from the coaching staff with their middle-of-the-night workouts following games in which their playing time was limited. Even with those plaudits, few could have predicted the type of breakout performance Anthony had in his hometown of East Lansing.
