(This is Part 5 of a series reviewing Michigan football’s 2019 position groups and looking ahead to 2020).
Michigan’s offensive line was one of the Big Ten’s more veteran groups this past fall. The Wolverines had four multi-year starters up front, with left tackle Jon Runyan Jr., left guard Ben Bredeson, center Cesar Ruiz and right guard Mike Onwenu. All four players were productive and battle-tested. You knew what you were getting with each, and their previous body of work spoke for itself.
Now, U-M must replace all four. Runyan, Bredeson and Onwenu ran out of college eligibility.
