Free Press sports writer Orion Sang offers his observations for No. 20 Michigan football's game against Rutgers.
Offense looks ... good
In what has been a rare occurrence this season, U-M's much-maligned offense moved the ball down the field with ease.
It helped that the Wolverines didn't fumble away their opening drive — like they did in the previous three games.
Instead, Michigan looked confident, especially on the first possession. The offensive line created movement up front. Quarterback Shea Patterson completed both pass attempts — including one to Nico Collins, who broke a tackle and took a short pass for a 48-yard touchdown.
