Although Josh Uche enjoyed a breakout season for Michigan football in 2018, the success didn't change his approach.
As he led the Wolverines last season with seven sacks as a situational pass rusher, Uche found himself wanting to prove more. The desire was linked with his position as a strongside (SAM) linebacker, which asked Uche to do everything — stop the run, play as a traditional linebacker, drop back in pass coverage and of course, rush the passer.
In 2018, though, he was used almost exclusively as a pass rusher.
