ORLANDO, Fla. — When Joe Milton was younger, he was never outspoken. Even when he had something to say, he'd keep to himself.
Things have changed now, though.
When Milton is at Michigan football practice and sees teammates running their mouths or walking with their heads down, he'll speak up. He'll try to provide encouragement and tell them that the coaching staff just wants what's best for them.
"It’s very pronounced," said linebacker Cam McGrone. "Just seeing him around, talking to the receivers, the O-linemen, and during the games coming over to the defense, making sure we’re calmed down.
