Michigan football's Jim Harbaugh was one of 17 coaches to land on the Dodd Trophy midseason watch list Thursday, a national award given to the country's top coach – on and off the field.
Harbaugh is one of three Big Ten coaches on the list, joining Wisconsin's Paul Chryst and Penn State's James Franklin.

The Dodd Trophy honors coaches who have success on the field but also express the importance of "scholarship, leadership and integrity."
The watch list also notes the Academic Progress Rate score for every one of the candidates.
