Don Brown hasn't had much of a chance to evaluate Michigan football's defense this spring.
In mid-March, the coronavirus outbreak shut down college athletics roughly one week before the Wolverines were slated to begin spring practices. Since then, players and coaches have been adhering social distancing rules, with no access to Schembechler Hall.
Still, what little Brown did see between his team's January bowl game against Alabama and March spurred him to speak about his defensive line with optimism Thursday during a Zoom call with local reporters.
