PARIS — Don Brown wasn't actually afraid back then.
But he can admit now that things were interesting.
In his first meeting with reporters as Michigan's defensive coordinator during spring drills in 2016, Brown noted how unafraid he looked when asked about the lack of depth in the middle of his unit.
He wasn't afraid and it worked out.
